State-of-the-Art Services for patients of all ages
Saint Anthony Medical Center provides you with a state-of-the-art emergency facility that meets all of your emergency needs. A trip to the emergency room is one that most people dread - it means that something is wrong and you or a loved one may be confused, hurt and worried. Our caring, experienced physicians and staff use high quality equipment and services to make sure that you receive the best care possible.
St. Anthony Emergency Center includes:
- Chest Pain Center: Each room of the four-bed unit is fully equipped in much the same manner as a hospital room including such patient amenities as in-room television. Diagnostic capabilities allow patients to be diagnosed at the Chest Pain Center and discharged directly from the center if the symptoms indicate other than a serious heart problem. The new unit has its own cardiac stress test facility.
- "Fast Track" Treatment: Patients with minor medical emergencies are treated in a new three-unit urgent care area for their medical conditions. This allows minor cases to be treated in a more timely fashion yet with the same quality care associated with more intensive problems.
- Customized Critical Care Rooms: Critical and trauma cases are treated in a new high-acuity unit that features six beds, all equipped with the latest state-of-the-art emergency medical equipment.
- Orthopedic Room: For the treatment of fractured bones, the Orthopedic Room is equipped to handle a variety of fractures and injuries.
- Mini-surgical Suite: Lacerations and wounds may be treated in the mini-surgical suite located in the heart of the Emergency Department facilities.
- Pediatrics: An especially equipped treatment room has been designed to make the ER experience for a child more soothing and less threatening.
- Obstetric-Gynecology: Emergency deliveries and gynecological emergencies have access to a specially equipped room.
- Latex Free Room: One treatment area is completely equipped to be latex free and accommodate patients who have allergies to latex rubber.
Plus, there are five general care treatment rooms for all other emergencies not requiring specific treatment or special precautions.
